The Bone Universe Wiki

The Bone App is the main interface between the Bone system and the recruits. It allows collection of Universal Particles through Exploration, creation of Power Archives through Alchemy, solo and multiplayer training through the Battle Simulator, and battles in real life through the Heads Up display.

History[]

In early 2020, when CERN physicists were beginning to experiment extensively with Universal Particles they had four different components that made up the Bone system. These components were a Universal Particle Detector (UPD), a Quantum Condensation Matrix (QCoM), an Alchemy Laboratory, and an Electonic Particle Manipulator (EPM). Each of these were seperate devices that connected to CERN's computer system in order to have the processing power to accomplish their respective tasks.

As the physicists' experiments grew more extensive, they needed a way to test outside of the laboratory. They managed to integrate the Q-CoM and the UPD into a single device, and the EPM was optimized to the point of being able to fit in one’s hand. Any Alchemy still had to be done in the lab, however, due to the vast amount of Quantum data that needed to be analyzed. They also developed the early version of the Headset at this time.

When the New World Affairs Commission took over the project and wanted to open the first Recruitment Center, they needed the technology to be more easily accessible. They wanted recruits to be quickly equipped with The Bone, so the engineers figured out how to apply their UPD and QCoM technology to smartphone hardware and, in March 2020, built the first Bone app. This app combined the UPD, Q-Com, and Headset HUD into a single, downloadable format. The creation of Anonim@ and its remarkable Quantum processing speed allowed them to even include a portable Alchemy lab, something never before thought possible. The app also included a Battle Simulator so the recruits could practice strategies while E-pons were still being developed.

To help recruits quickly learn how to use the app, Anonim@ imported a fragment of itself into the software. This fragment, an Artificial Visual Intelligence, became known as "Abby." Abby is responsible for guiding recruits within the app and assists with training by appearing as Nereas and battling recruits.

The first version of the app was only compatible with devices running Android OS and was only available through early January 2021.

Another version, almost identical to the first, was released to a few recruits to film a Pre-Alpha Battle Simulator tournament. This was only available for a day.

The next version will be a demo released with the Kickstarter Campaign and compatible with both Android and iOS devices.

Sections[]

All information based on the Demo version 0.0.25

Exploration[]

"Here you will use your device camera and our AR system to explore your surroundings"[1]. It functions by using the most advanced version of the UPD and QCoM to date to detect Pixels, extract particles, and store them within the device.

Inventory[]

Where all Particles, Kromas, PAs, and Nereas are stored. This is where recruits can see what they have collected and Fuse, Mix, or Forge their respective items.

Combat[]

This Battle Simulator is designed to allow recruits to practice strategies, PA loadouts, and Casting patterns without needing the full set of Caster Gear. Recruits are represented as Nereas within the simulator and control them with joysticks on the screen.

Profile[]

This is where recruits can see their stats, their current PA and Kroma loadout, selected Nerea, and level.

Recruitment Centers[]

This is where recruits will see which RCs are hosting events where and when and allows the recruit to sign up directly through the app.

Caster Gear[]

This section will connect to the Gear and the Headset. The app becomes the way recruits see the quantum results of their PAs. Once this is engaged, the phone is slipped into the secure slot on the front of the Headset and is projected onto the visor in front of the recruits' eyes.

Market[]

As of now, this section links to the KS Campaign. In the future it may link to the Central Command store where recruits can purchase Caster Gear, Nereas, and other merchandise.
